Abstract:The tumor microenvironment(TME)is a key factor in tumor progression, and various components within it play specific roles. As one of the main components,cancer-associated fibroblast(CAF)have gradually become one of the focuses of tumor-related research in recent years. This article summarizes the current research status of CAF in glioma and other tumors, including the origin and heterogeneity of CAF,their interaction with tumor cells(with a particular focus on their inhibitory effect on the immune microenvironment),as well as the research progress of CAF-targeted therapy.Although research on CAF in glioma is relatively limited,it can be inferred from the current research that CAF-targeted therapy has potential research and application value in glioma, and it is worthwhile to explore more CAF targets in the future.
