Saliva-based Detection Technology for Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Using Antagonistic miRNA Oligonucleotides
Abstract:Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) faces diagnostic challenges due to the lack of reliable biomarkers, especially in emergency scenarios where rapid and non-invasive detection tools are urgently needed. SAHA et al. [1] proposed an electrochemical sensor based on gold electrodes modified with acetic acid oxythiophene∶polystyrene sulfonate (AAOT∶PSS), enabling highly sensitive analysis of salivary microRNA (miRNA), providing a new approach for mTBI diagnosis.
