A Case of Multiple Meningiomas and a Literature Review
Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for multiple meningiomas. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data, imaging findings, surgical treatment process, and postoperative follow-up of a patient with multiple meningiomas, along with a review of relevant literature. Results The patient underwent staged surgery, and no radiotherapy was administered postoperatively. Tumor recurrence was observed during a 34-month follow-up. Conclusion Surgery is the main treatment for multiple meningiomas. For patients with high-grade or high-risk recurrence, adjuvant radiotherapy may help improve prognosis. For small tumors located in deep areas, stereotactic radiotherapy can be considered as the first-line treatment.
