Abstract:Objective To explore the innovative application of virtual reality(VR)technology in the teaching of specialized nurses for neurological diseases and its impact on teaching effectiveness. Methods A total of 112 specialized nurse trainees for neurological diseases were included as research subjects. They were divided into a control group(n=56)and an experimental group(n=56)based on different teaching methods. The control group received traditional teaching methods, while the experimental group received the training by traditional teaching methods combining with VR technology. After completing a 3-month teaching and training program, the trainees were assessed on specialized theoretical knowledge, specialized skills, nursing plan formulation, and teaching satisfaction(including course resources, teaching mode, teaching effectiveness, and teaching feedback mechanisms). Results In the assessments of specialized theoretical knowledge and nursing plan formulation, the excellent performance rate of trainees in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(both P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in specialized skills between the two groups(P>0.05).In the teaching satisfaction evaluation, the experimental group scored higher than the control group in all aspects, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with traditional teaching methods,VR technology can effectively enhance teaching effectiveness and teaching satisfaction among specialized nurses for neurological diseases in teaching and training programs.
