Abstract:Objective To summarize the available evidence on nursing care in neuro-transitional care unit(NTCU)and provide evidence-based guidance for clinical nursing practice. Methods An evidence-based nursing approach was adopted.Literature searches were based on the"6S"pyramid structure, databases and neurosurgery professional websites were searched to obtain relevant clinical decisions, guidelines, systematic reviews,meta-analyses,expert consensus, evidence summaries, experimental and quasi-experimental studies related to NTCU nursing.Appropriate evaluation tools were matched to the literature types. For experimental or quasi-experimental studies included, the assessment criteria published by the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI)Evidence-Based Practice Center in 2016 were applied. The search period spanned from the inception of the databases to October 14,2024.Results A total of 6 articles were ultimately included, all of which were quasi-experimental in nature.Twenty-five pieces of evidence were synthesized across five key domains:multidisciplinary team collaboration, patient selection criteria, admission processes, monitoring strategies, and quality control indicators. Conclusions Summarizing evidence-based practices for NTCU nursing care provides a valuable reference for developing nursing protocols that align with China's national conditions and healthcare system. This endeavor aims to enhance patient safety and continuously improve the quality of nursing care.
