Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of psychological intervention based on hope theory combined with early rehabilitation training on the self-perceived burden and coping strategies of patients after intracranial aneurysm surgery. Methods A total of 98 patients with intracranial aneurysms were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 49 patients in each group. The control group received routine early rehabilitation training intervention, while the observation group received psychological intervention based on hope theory combined with early rehabilitation training. After 2 months of intervention, the self-perceived burden, coping strategies, neurological function, muscle strength, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in self perceived burden, coping strategies, neurological function, and muscle strength scores between the two groups before intervention(all P>0.05).After the intervention, the observation group had lower scores in all dimensions of the Self-Perceived Burden Scale(SPBS),higher facing scores in the Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ),lower avoidance and surrender scores in the MCMQ,lower National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores, and better muscle strength compared with the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusions Psychological intervention based on hope theory combined with early rehabilitation training can reduce the self-perceived burden of patients after intracranial aneurysm surgery, change the adverse coping strategies, improve neurological function and muscle strength, and reduce complications.
