Abstract:Objective To investigate the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided microsurgery in the treatment of patients with glioma. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with glioma were analyzed retrospectively, who were divided into control group(conventional microresection,n=37)and observation group(ultrasound-guided microresection,n=43)according to different surgical methods. The central nervous system specific protein(S100-β),brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),neuron-specific enolase(NSE),National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores,Karnofsky performance status(KPS)scores were compared between the two groups before and after operation, and the surgical resection effect, operation time, hospital stay, and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the levels of S100-β and NSE were lower in the observation group, the BDNF level and KPS score were higher, and the NIHSS score was lower(all P<0.05).The total tumor resection rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the hospitalization and operation times were shorter than those in the control group, and the total incidence of postoperative complications was lower than that in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusions Ultrasound-guided microsurgery can better improve neurological function in patients with gliomas, increase the total tumor resection rate, shorten operation duration and length of hospital stay, and reduce postoperative complications.
