Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between the systemic coagulation-inflammation (SCI) index and the severity of posterior circulation dissecting aneurysms and its predictive value for prognosis. Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with posterior circulation dissecting aneurysms were analyzed retrospectively, all confirmed by MRA,CTA,or DSA. These patients were divided into ruptured and unruptured groups based on preoperative Hunt-Hess grading and all underwent interventional embolization treatment. Results Statistically significant differences in clinical indicators were observed between the two groups (all P<0.05). During postoperative follow-up,81 patients had good prognosis with modified Rankin scale (mRS) scores of 0-2,and 19 patients had poor prognosis (mRS scores of 3-5). SCI and Hunt-Hess grading were identified as independent risk factors for poor prognosis (P=0.001 and 0.001 respectively). The area under the ROC curve for the SCI index was 0.676 (95%CI:0.532-0.821,P=0.017),with a specificity of 57.9% and a sensitivity of 77.8%. Conclusions The SCI index is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis in pa-tients with ruptured posterior circulation dissecting aneurysms and has certain predictive value for clinical prognosis.
