Abstract:Objective To explore the technical points and clinical outcomes of the trepanation and drainage for the surgical treatment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage using neurosurgical robot. Methods The clinical data of 54 patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage were analyzed retrospectively. All the patients underwent minimally invasive puncture and drainage surgery assisted by neurosurgical robots. The hematoma clearance time, length of hospital stay and post-discharge improvement in neurological function were observed postoperatively. The postoperative efficacy was assessed using the Activity of Daily Living scale(ADL).Results The operation time for robot-assisted surgery in 54 patients ranged from 20 to 40 minutes, with an average of 30.38 minutes. The postoperative hematoma clearance time was 2 to 5 days, with an average of 3.58 days. The postoperative hospital stay was 12 to 20 days, with an average of 15.6 days.Follow-up was 3 to 12 months, with an average of 8.8 months. The ADL were as follows:10 cases at level 0,15 at level I,19 at level Ⅱ,5 at level Ⅲ,and 5 at level Ⅳ.There were no deaths.A satisfactory surgical outcome(ADL levels 0-Ⅱ)was achieved in 81.48%(44/54)of the patients postoperatively. Conclusions Neurosurgical robot-assisted puncture and drainage surgery for hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage has advantages such as short operation time, precise localization and good postoperative effects, thus being worthy of active and prudent clinical promotion.
