Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of family participation perioperative nursing based on shared decision-making on patients with Parkinson's disease(PD)undergoing deep brain stimulation(DBS).Methods A total of 86 PD patients undergoing DBS were randomly divided into two groups, with 43 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received family participation perioperative nursing based on shared decision-making in addition to routine care. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),and Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire-39(PDQ-39)scores were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Additionally, the Chinese version of the 9-item Shared Decision Making Questionnaire(SDM-Q-9)was administered to family members before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the HAMA,HAMD,and PDQ-39 scores decreased in both groups, with significantly lower scores observed in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the SDM-Q-9 scores of family members increased in both groups post-intervention,with a higher score in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Family participation perioperative nursing based on shared decision-making can effectively alleviate negative emotions in PD patients under-going DBS,positively impacting their quality of life and enhancing the degree of shared decision-making among family members.
