Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of improved incisions ventriculoperitoneal shunt assisted with ventriculoscope. Methods The clinical data of 10 patients with hydrocephalus undergoing improved incision ventriculoperitoneal shunt assisted with ventriculoscope were analyzed retrospectively. Results The hydrocephalus symptoms were relieved to varying degrees in 10 cases. The operation time was 35-60 minutes,an average of(45.0 ± 1.2) min.Compared with the traditional shunt, the operation time was significantly shorter. The terminal position of shunt in ventricle was accurate, there were no complications associated with ventriculoscope and no death. Conclusions The ventriculoperitoneal shunt incision improved by means of a ventriculoscope is safe, accurate, minimally invasive and fast with a low complication rate and application value.
