Author investigation and analysis of Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery

Abstract：Objective To gain insight into the needs of authors of Chinese Journd ofMinimdly Invasive Neurosurgery,thus improving the operational concepts and quality ofjoumal.Methods The self-designed questionnaires were sent to the authors of the journal by WeChat QR code to collect the data of concerns during submission and advices.The data were summarized and analyzed.Results A sum of 105 valid questionaires were taken back.The detailed information of author group was as follows:age from 25 to 50 years old,working year equal to or less than 20,master or higher degree,attending physician and lower grade professional title,working in department of neurosurgery of tertiary hospitals.The authors read the journal mainly by the pathway of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI).The authors concerned whether the joumal is core journal or not and the refereeing period and publication frequency.The main aims of submission were publication of research achievement,academic communication and professional title promotion.The satisfaction degree of authors in review speed and publication speed were comparatively lower and they hoped to speed up.All the authors could use the Wechat,but the subsctiption sum of Wechat public number was relatively smaller.Most authors declared that they would reject the academic misconduct behaviors but their cognition of academic misconduct was not comprehensive and profound.Conclusion According to concems during submission and advices of authors by the investigation,the editors should improve the working methods,perfect the services and attract more contributions for promoting the sustainable development of the journal.
