Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of 3D-slicer software in the preoperation planning of neuroendoscopic surgery for hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH). Methods Clinical data of 30 HICH patients undergoing neuroendoscopic surgery were analyzed retrospectively. The data of brain CT scan were reconstructed through 3D-slicer software before operation, and the detailed parameters were measured precisely, then, individual surgical approach was designed, and hematoma evacuation was performed. The reliability and precision of virtual reality technique were researched. Results All of the intracranial hematomas were punctured to the target location and evacuated with neuroendoscopy successfully based on the reconstruction result of 3D-slicer software. The mean surgical time was 37 min, and ranged from 21 to 75 min. The mean blood loss was 70 ml, and ranged from 40 to 100 ml. The average residual hematoma was about 2.71 ml according to CT reexamination postoperatively, and the average hematoma evacuation rate was 93.8%. No patient experienced postoperative rebleeding and operation-correlated complications. Conclusion The 3D-slicer software can provide objective and precise location and improve the success rate of endoscopic surgery in HICH patients.
