Comparative analysis of Robot of Stereotactic Assistant system and traditional infratentorial craniotomy for treatment of cerebellar hemorrhage
Abstract:Objective To compare curative effect of Robot of Stereotactic Assistant (ROSA) system assisted removal of hematoma and infratentorial craniotomy for the treatment of cerebellar hemorrhage. Methods The clinical data of 43 patients with cerebellar hemorrhage were analyzed retrospectively. According to the time node, patients were divided into the craniotomy group (n =22, the infratentorial craniotomy, January 2014 to April 2016) and ROSA group (n = 21, the ROSA assisted hematoma evacuation, May to October 2016). Results The operation time and postoperative extubation time were significantly shorter in ROSA group than in the craniotomy group (t=3.540, P<0.001;t=2.390, P<0.05 respectively), with a significant statistical difference. Intracranial infection and postoperative hemorrhage occurred in 3 patients (13.6%) in craniotomy group respectively, but did not in ROSA group, and the difference was not statistically significant between the two groups (all x2=1.336, P>0.05). Conclusion ROSA assisted hematoma removal is superior to tentorium craniotomy for the treatment of cerebellar hemorrhage in operation time and postoperative extubation time.
