Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of adjustable pressure-controlled drainage for the treatment of remote epidural hematoma after intracranial tumor resection. Methods Clinical data of 12 patients with remote epidural hematoma after intracranial tumor resection were analyzed retrospectively, who received the adjustable pressure-controlling drainage. Results The residual hematoma was within 35 ml in 11 patients based on CT immediately after drainage, and most hematomas were removed 14 d after drainage. The hematoma enlarged in 1 patient after drainage, and who received craniotomy for hematoma removal immediately. During a follow-up period of 3 months, 12 patients recovered well and achieved GOS 5 scores. Conclusion The adjustble pressure-controlled drainage is effective for remote acute epidural hematoma after intracranial tumor resection, and worthy of clinical promotion.
