Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between CT value and clearance rate of hematoma after initial aspiration in mini-invasive craniopuncture for patients with cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Clinical data of 95 patients with cerebral hemorrhage were analyzed retrospectively, who underwent mini-invasive craniopuncture. Average CT value of the maximal transverse section and area of hematoma before and after craniopuncture were measured. The clearance rate of hematoma was calculated. The relationship between CT value and clearance rate was analyzed statistically. The influence of different CT values on prognosis was analyzed. Results The clearance rate of hematoma declined with the increasing of the average CT value, and the clearance rate of hematoma was negatively related to the average CT value (r = - 0.92, P < 0.01). Patients with medium CT value (64 to 80 HU) had better outcome than other patients with high and low CT value (P < 0.05). Conclusions During the mini-invasive craniopuncture for patients with cerebral hemorrhage, the lower the average CT value of hematoma is, the higher the initial clearance rate will be. However, patients with medium CT value (64 to 80 HU) have better prognosis.
