Abstract:Objective To explore the risk factors for 30-day mortality after heart valve surgery in patients complicated with preoperative cerebral infarction. Methods From January 1st,2010 to July 31st,2022,435 consecutive patients complicated with preoperative cerebral infarction, who underwent heart valve surgery in our center, were enrolled retrospectively.Univariable and multivariable logistic analyses were performed to identify predictors of 30-day mortality. Results 30-day mortality was 8.51%overall among the 435 patients.Multivariable logistic analysis showed that preoperative chronic lung disease(OR=9.184,95%CI:2.132-39.560,P=0.003),higher BMI(OR=1.147,95%CI:1.017-1.294,P=0.026)and lower endogenous creatinine clearance rate(OR=0.977,95%CI:0.955-0.999,P=0.037)were independent risk factors. Conclusion Preoperative chronic lung disease, higher BMI and lower endogenous creatinine clearance rate were independent risk factors for 30-day mortality in patients complicated with preoperative cerebral infarction, who underwent heart valve surgery.
