Abstract:Stanford type A aortic dissection is a cardiovascular emergency with a high mortality rate. Its high-risk nature drives the continuous exploration of safer and more effective treatment strategies. For a long time, open surgery has been re-garded as the"gold standard"for treatment. With advancements in technology and equipment, surgical approaches have become increasingly diverse, leading to significantly improved success rates and markedly decreased mortality.Despite these significant advances, there is still no universally accepted optimal treatment strategy. This article reviews several commonly employed surgi-cal methods for acute type A aortic dissection internationally, analyzes their current applications, clinical outcomes, and existing challenges, and discusses future research directions.
