Abstract:Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO),as a life support technology, shows strong vitality in the medical field, and provides strong support for patients with respiratory and circulatory failure. However, during the ECMO support process, infection, renal failure and bleeding are the most common complications, especially the occurrence and development of infection-related complications, which can directly lead to prolonged hospital stay and the increase of mortality. This article will review the research progress of epidemiology and etiology of nosocomial infection in ECMO,describe the epidemiology and etiology of infection, summarize the risk factors of infection, and provide reasonable guidance for the use of clinical antibiotics and the adjustment of clinical treatment strategies.
