Abstract:Objective To explore a convenient method of cardiopulmonary bypass POCD model in rats. Methods Twenty Sprague Dawley rats were anesthetized with Pelltobarbitalum Natricum i.p.Right upper vena cava was punctured for the drainage of blood and caudal artery for perfusion.Heart rate, anal temperature and blood oxygen saturation were monitored.Meanwhile, the blood gas indexes were measured and adjusted during the operation. The flow of CPB was maintained 100 ml/(min·kg)and time interval of CPB lasted for 60 mins. Results 16 models were established successfully and all of which were able to complete the water maze training the day after operation. Conclusion The CPB model established by the improved puncture method can shorten the operation time and reduce the difficulty of operation with more convenience and less trauma.
