Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of acupoint application combined with press-needle in the nursing of patients with vertigo. Methods A total of 82 patients with vertigo admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from April 2024 to March 2025 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into an observation group and a control group, with 41 cases in each group, according to the random number table method. Both groups were given routine care, and the observation group was simultaneously treated with acupoint application and press-needle intervention. The efficacy of the two groups,as well as the main clinical symptoms and vertigo before and after intervention were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of dizziness, vertigo, nausea and vomiting, balance instability, and vestibular visual symptoms in both groups were significantly lower than before intervention, and the scores of the above symptoms in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group after intervention(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores and total scores of each dimension of the dizziness handicap inventory in both groups were significantly lower than before intervention, and the above scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of routine care, acupoint application combined with press-needle intervention can effectively improve clinical symptoms and vertigo level in patients with vertigo, and it is worth promoting and using.
