Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of stepwise nutritional intervention in critically ill patients in the ICU.Methods The subjects were all 126 critically ill patients admitted to the intense care medicine department of Putian University Affiliated Hospital from December 2021 to December 2024.They were divided into two groups based on the different nutritional intervention methods adopted by the patients. In the control group,63 cases received conventional nutritional intervention, while in the observation group,63 cases received stepped nutritional intervention. The serum nutritional indicators, patient generated subjective global assessment(PG-SGA),immune function and complications were compaerd. Results After intervention, the observation group had higher levels of hemoglobin, prealbumin, albumin, transferrin, serum ferritin, and serum iron than the control group(P<0.05).The self-evaluation part, medical staff evaluation part, and total score of PG-SGA patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had higher levels of CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+than the control group, while CD8+was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Through the stepwise nutritional intervention program for critically ill patients in the ICU,sufficient nutritional support can be provided for the patients, their nutritional status can be improved, the immune function of the body can be enhanced, and the risk of complications can be reduced.
