Application Effect of Knowledge-Attitude-Practice Health Education Model Combined with Psychological Nursing in Patients with Chronic Gastritis

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of knowledge-attitude-practice(KAP)health education model combined with psychological nursing in patients with chronic gastritis.Methods A total of 242 patients with chronic gastritis admitted to the Zhangzhou Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2022 to July 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group(routine nursing)and a combined group(KAP health education model combined with psychological nursing),with 121 cases in each group.The disease KAP levels,self-efficacy,negative emotions,quality of life,and sleep conditions were compared and analyzed before and after the intervention in both groups.Results After the intervention,the levels of disease KAP,self-efficacy,negative emotions,quality of life,and sleep status scores in both groups significantly improved compared to before the intervention.Moreover,the combined group's scores on these indicators were significantly superior to those of the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic gastritis,adopting the KAP health education model combined with psychological care can effectively alleviate negative emotions,improve quality of life and sleep conditions,and enhance disease-related knowledge and self-efficacy,making it a worthwhile approach for widespread implementation.
