Abstract:Objective To explore the changes in lesion unit ablation, ablation time, lesion changes, levels of inflammatory factors, thyroid function and postoperative complications of micropapillary thyroid carcinoma after ultrasound-guided microwave ablation and radiofrequency ablation. Methods According to different treatment methods,75 patients diagnosed with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma in Gutian County Hospital from January 2022 to June 2024 were divided into two groups. Both groups received ultrasound-guided intervention.Among them,37 cases in the observation group underwent microwave ablation, and 38 cases in the control group underwent radiofrequency ablation.Evaluate the differences in changes of indicators such as lesion unit ablation, ablation time, lesion changes, levels of inflammatory factors, thyroid function, and occurrence of complications between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the lesion unit ablation and ablation time in the observation group were significantly shorter(P<0.05).Four months after the operation, the lesion volume of both groups decreased significantly, and the volume of the observation group was significantly smaller than that of the control group(P<0.05).At the same time, compared with the observation group, the lesion reduction rate of the control group was significantly lower(P<0.05).Compared with those before the operation, the levels of inflammatory factors in both groups increased one week after the operation, but those in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with those before the operation, all indexes of thyroid function in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group one week after the operation(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).Conclusion After ultrasound-guided microwave ablation treatment for patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma, the ablation of lesion units and ablation time are significantly shortened, and it is less likely to have a significant impact on inflammatory factors and thyroid function. However, the incidence of postoperative complications after ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation treatment is relatively lower.
