Abstract:Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of high-dose proton pump inhibitors(PPIs)combined with amoxicillin in combination therapy for patients with Helicobacter pylori(HP).Methods One hundred and sixty cases of HP infection patients admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Jiangyin from May 2023 to May 2024 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional quadruple therapy, while the research group used high-dose PPI combined with amoxicillin for treatment. The HP eradication rate, symptom relief, adverse reactions, and treatment compliance between two groups of patients were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in HP eradication rate between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).The relief time of various symptoms in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the research group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The medication adherence of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The dual therapy of high-dose PPI combined with amoxicillin has a similar HP eradication effect as conventional quadruple therapy, but its symptom relief is faster, the incidence of adverse reactions is lower, and the patient's medication compliance is higher.
