Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of early bladder function training on the recovery of bladder function and pelvic floor muscle strength in patients after radical surgery for cervical cancer. Methods One hundred and forty patients with cervical cancer from January 2023 to December 2024 who underwent radical surgery in Fujian Medical University Affiliated Min Dong Hospital were selected as the research subjects, and divided into a control group(n=70)and an observation group(n=70),by a random number table method. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received early bladder function training on the basis of the control group. The recovery of bladder function, changes in clinical related indicators, pelvic floor muscle strength level, and improvement of quality of life were compared between the two groups of patients. Results The observation group exhibited superior bladder function and bladder compliance indicators compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the observation group demonstrated improved postoperative pelvic floor muscle strength and quality of life scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Early bladder function training can improve the bladder compliance of patients after radical surgery for cervical cancer, shorten the time of indwelling catheter, promote the of pelvic floor muscle strength, and improve the bladder function and quality of life of patients.
