Abstract:Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Huazhuo Jiangzhi Decoction on patients with mixed hyperlipidemia. Methods The study subjects were all selected from the outpatient department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Chinese Medicine.Sixty patients from June 2023 to August 2024 with mixed hyperlipidemia were enrolled as study subjects. The enrolled patients were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 patients in each group by random number table method. The control group received conventional western medicine treatment, while the observation group was treated with modified Huazhuo Jiangzhi Decoction. The traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores and improvement in blood lipids, and their effects on liver and kidney function were further compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the observation group had significantly lower scores for traditional Chinese medicine symptoms such as obesity, limb fatigue, and abdominal distension compared to the control group(P<0.05).The body mass index, waist circumference, and hip circumference of the observation group were also significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had significantly lower levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein, while high-density lipoprotein were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients with mixed hyperlipidemia,Huazhuo Jiangzhi Decoction can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms and obesity, improve lipid metabolism, and has good safety.
