Abstract:Objective To explore the differences in perioperative prognosis between modified single position transperitoneal laparoscopic nephroureterectomy(MSPTLNU)and retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephroureterectomy(RLNU)in the treatment of upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma(UTUC).Methods The clinical data of 71 patients with upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma who underwent laparoscopic nephroureterectomy at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from August 8th,2015 to December 31st,2024 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were divided into a MSPTLNU group and a RLNU group based on different surgical approaches.Clinical data, perioperative bleeding volume, surgical duration, hospital stay, and other indicators were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in age, gender, medical history, oncological characteristics and other data between the two groups(P>0.05).The MSPTLNU group had significantly shorter surgical duration, postoperative drainage tube retention time, and hospital stay than those of the RLNU group(all P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss in the MSPTLNU group was less than that in the RLNU group, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The MSPTLNU is used for patients with UTUC,which has certain advantages in perioperative prognosis compared to RLNU and has good clinical application prospects. It is worth promoting and using.
