Postoperative Analgesic Effect of Bupivacaine Liposome Intercostal Nerve Block in Patients undergoing Thoracoscopic Lung Surgery
ZENG Shaoshan
Abstract:Objective To explore the postoperative analgesic effect of bupivacaine liposome intercostal nerve block for patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung surgery. Methods A total of 220 patients who underwent elective thoracoscopic lung surgery at Sanming First Hospital from January to December 2024 were selected as the study subjects. All patients were randomly divided into a bupivacaine liposome group and a ropivacaine group using a random number table method, with 110 patients in each group. The bupivacaine liposome group received bupivacaine liposome intercostal nerve block, while the ropivacaine group received ropivacaine intercostal nerve block.Compare the pain levels at different time points and states after surgery between two groups,as well as the incidence of complications and adverse events within 72 hours after surgery. Results There were no significant difference in the visual analogue scale(VAS)pain scores between the two groups at 2 and 6 hours after surgery, whether in a resting or active state(P>0.05).The VAS pain scores of the bupivacaine liposome group were significantly lower than those of the ropivacaine group at 12,24,48,and 72 hours after surgery(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications within 72 hours after surgery in the bupivacaine liposome group was significantly lower than that in the ropivacaine group(P<0.05).Both groups of patients did not experience any adverse events, such as local hematoma, pneumothorax, nerve injury,or block failure within 72 hours after surgery. Conclusion The use of bupivacaine liposome intercostal nerve block in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung surgery can effectively alleviate postoperative pain, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and adverse events, promote patient recovery, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
