Abstract:Objective To study the effect of pirfenidone capsule combined with glucocorticoid on pulmonary function and pulmonary fibrosis in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF).Methods The clinical data of 85 patients with idiopathic pulmonary interstitial fibrosis who were treated in Wuping County Hospital,Wuping from May 2021 to February 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the treatment plan,43 patients in the control group were treated with glucocorticoid, and 42 patients in the observation group were treated with pirfenidone capsules on the basis of glucocorticoid. The clinical efficacy, pulmonary function, pulmonary fibrosis and drug safety were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical efficacy rate in the observation group was 95.24%,which was higher than 79.07%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the forced expiratory volume in 1 second, peak expiratory flow rate, forced vital capacity and diffusion capacity of the lung for carbon monoxidein the observation group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of type Ⅲ procollagen, laminin, and type Ⅳ collagen in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Pifenidone capsule combined with glucocorticoid has obvious therapeutic effect, which can effectively inhibit pulmonary fibrosis in IPF patients, promote the improvement of pulmonary function, and has good medication safety.
