Abstract:Objective To analyze the role of cement-injected pedicle screw internal fixation in osteoporosis with lumbar degenerative diseases. Methods From August 2022 to August 2024,90 patients with osteoporosis accompanied by lumbar degenerative diseases admitted to Tianjin Hospital in Ningqiang County were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group, with 45 patients in each group, based on surgical methods. The control group underwent conventional pedicle screw internal fixation, while the observation group underwent bone cement-enhanced pedicle screw internal fixation. The postoperative radiographic indicators, lumbar function, and complication rates were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative Cobb angle, scores of Oswestry functional impairment index,Roland-Morris functional impairment survey, and Quebec low back pain disorder scale of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, while the height of adjacent intervertebral spaces, bone density T values, vertebral CT values, and Japanese Orthopaedic Association Evaluation of Treatment scores were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Cement-injected pedicle screw internal fixation can improve the lumbar structure and function in patients with osteoporosis and lumbar degenerative diseases, and also plays a role in preventing complications.
