Abstract:Objective To study the clinical value of intervention model based on self-regulation theory in elderly patients with ischemic stroke(IS).Methods A total of 92 elderly IS patients treated in Nanping First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from July 2021 to September 2023 were enrolled in this study. They were divided into a control group and a study group, with 46 cases in each group according to the random number table method. The control group received the conventional intervention mode, while the study group received the intervention mode based on self-regulation theory. The scores of self-care ability[self-care ability scale for the elderly(SASE)],health promoting lifestyle Ⅱ[health promoting lifestyle profile-Ⅱ(HPLP-Ⅱ)]and compliance were compared between the two groups. Results After 12 weeks of intervention, the scores of SASE and HPLP-Ⅱ in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The compliance of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The intervention model based on self-regulation theory can effectively improve the self-care ability and compliance, and promote the formation of a healthy lifestyle in elderly IS patients.
