Abstract:In China's healthcare system, primary healthcare institutions serve as critical barriers to safeguarding public health. In recent years, the implementation of the"community-focused"development strategy has improved the primary healthcare workforce, yet significant gaps remain.Persistent challenges such as"difficulties in attracting, retaining, and effectively utilizing personnel"have yet to be fundamentally resolved.Leveraging our institution's historical legacy in training"Barefoot Doctors",this study actively explores the"Barefoot Doctor Spirit"and proposes an integrated training pathway for primary health gatekeepers.By constructing a comprehensive ideological and political education framework, empowering career education systems, innovating educational mechanisms, redesigning curricula, building practical platforms, and strengthening evaluation safeguards, this research aims to provide insights for advancing primary healthcare talent development in China under the integrated concept of"Barefoot Doctor Spirit+General Practice Needs".
