The Investigation on the Status and Relevant Factors of Professional Respect Sense in Nurses

Abstract：Objective To investigate the level of professional respect sense among nurses and analyze its influencing factors.Methods Convenience sampling was applied to select 362 nurses from a tertiary general hospital between January and March 2022 as the research subjects.The study employed a demographic survey,a professional respect sense scale,a professional benefit perception questionnaire,a nurse professional identity scale,and a nursing work environment scale for data collection.Results The score of professional respect sense among nurses was(3.87±0.77).The results of multiple linear regression analysis indicated that the nursing work environment,nurse professional identity,and performance discussion cycle collectively explained 48.0%of the total variation in professional respect sense levels.Conclusion The level of professional respect sense among nurses is in the upper-middle range.Administrators should analyze the factors related to professional respect sense and implement feasible improvement measures to enhance nurses'professional respect sense,thereby ensuring the stability of the nursing workforce.
