Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of one-time rapid deflation and slow multiple deflation on the stress response during extubation in patients undergoing general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation. Methods A total of 110 patients who underwent general anesthesia surgery with endotracheal intubation at Nanchong Central Hospital from July 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects. All patients were divided into multiple times group and one-time group according to the different methods of tracheal cuffdeflation, with 55 cases in each group. The multiple times group used slow multiple deflation, while the one-time group used one-time rapid deflation.Compare the coughing response during extubation and the symptom response after extubation between two groups of patients,as well as the average arterial pressure and heart rate before general anesthesia induction, before tracheal tube cuff deflation, immediately after cuffdeflation,1 minute after extubation,3 minutes after extubation, and 5 minutes after extubation. Results The incidence of coughing response in the multiple times group was significantly lower than that in the one-time group(P<0.05).Symptoms and reactions after extubation, the incidence of pharyngeal discomfort in the multiple time group was significantly lower than that in the one-time group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of inadequate ventilation between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in mean arterial pressure and heart rate between the two groups before induction of general anesthesia and 5 minutes after extubation(P>0.05).The average arterial pressure and heart rate of the multiple times group were significantly lower than those of the one-time group before and immediately after tracheal tube cuffdeflation,1 minute after extubation, and 3 minutes after extubation(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients undergoing general anesthesia surgery with tracheal intubation, the method of slowly and repeatedly withdrawing the cuffgas can effectively reduce the body's stress response and lower the incidence of pharyngeal discomfort. It is worth promoting and using.
