Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic efficacy of 18F-FDG PET/CT examination on lung cancer. Methods A total of 120 suspected lung cancer patients admitted to Tianjin Baodi District People's Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects. All patients underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT examination, and the pathological examination results were used as the gold standard to determine the diagnostic effcacy of 18F-FDG PET/CT examination on lung cancer. Results In 120 suspected lung cancer patients,106(88.33%)were diagnosed with lung cancer through surgical and pathological examination.18F-FDG PET/CT examination diagnosed 106 positive cases and 14 negative cases of lung cancer. The accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, misdiagnosis rate, and missed diagnosis rate of 18F-FDG PET/CT examination for diagnosing lung cancer were 98.33%,92.86%,99.06%,7.14%,and 0.94%,respectively.The maximum standard uptake value(SUVmax)of lung cancer patients was(11.02±1.24),which was significantly higher than(5.16±1.07)of benign lesion population(t=16.858,P<0.05).Conclusion 18F-FDG PET/CT examination can be used as an early clinical screening and diagnostic tool for lung cancer, but in clinical application, other examination methods should be combined to further clarify the diagnosis.
