Abstract:Objective To investigate the significance and prognostic correlation of thyroid antibody levels in patients with diffuse goiter with hyperthyroidism(Graves'disease). Methods Eighty patients with Graves'disease admitted to People's Hospital of Lixian County in Changde from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study group, and 80 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination in our center during the same period were selected as the control group.Thyroid antibody levels test were performed in both groups to further analyze the correlation between ocular protrusion patients and thyroid antibody level in the study group, and the correlation between hypothyroidism and thyroid antibody level in the study group after 6 months of treatment. Results The levels of thyrotropin receptor auto-antibody(TRAb)and thyroid peroxidase-antibody(TPO-Ab)in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in levels of TRAb and TPO-Ab between patients with and without ocular process(P>0.05).There was no correlation between ocular protrudes and levels of TRAb and TPO-Ab(P>0.05).After 6 months of follow-up,the levels of TRAb and TPO-Ab in the hypothyroidism subgroup were higher than those in the non hypothyroidism subgroup(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between hypothyroidism and levels of TRAb and TPO-Ab(P<0.05).Conclusion The serum thyroid antibody level of Graves'disease patients was significantly higher, and the serum thyroid antibody level was positively correlated with the occurrence of hypothyroidism after treatment.
