Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of ABCDE cluster nursing in intensive care unit(ICU)patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods A total of 156 ICU mechanically ventilated patients admitted to Quanzhou Decheng Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into the intensified group(N=78 cases)and the control group(N=78 cases). The intensified group adopted ABCDE intensified nursing care, and the control group adopted conventional mechanical ventilation nursing care.General comfort questionnaire(GCQ),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),and the body's recovery and complications were compared before and after treatment between two groups. Results The duration of delirium(1.54±0.26)d,the duration of mechanical ventilation(4.52±1.67)d,the duration of ICU stay(5.64±1.29)d and the duration of hospital stay(11.32±2.49)d in the intensified group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before nursing,GCQ and PSQI scores showed no significant differences between two groups(P>0.05).After nursing, the scores of GCQ(109.04±4.57)and PSQI(11.40±2.74)in intensified group were significantly better than those in control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the intensified group was 3.85%(3/78),which was significantly lower than 14.10%(11/78)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of ABCDE cluster nursing in ICU mechanical ventilation patients can significantly improve comfort and sleep quality, reduce the incidence of complications, and promote body recovery.
