Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of different doses of ketamine in induction of general anesthesia for cesarean section. Methods One hundred and twenty puerpera accepting cesarean section admitted to Liaoyuan Maternal and Child Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group,a low-dose group, and a high-dose group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. All three groups accepted intravenous general anesthesia. The low-dose and high-dose groups were given 0.25 mg/kg and 0.5 mg/kg of ketamine during anesthesia induction, while the control group was given an equal amount of physiological saline before cesarean section surgery. The anesthesia induction time, anesthesia recovery time, anesthesia drug dosage, intraoperative hemodynamics, postoperative pain score, and incidence of adverse reactions among three groups were compared. Results The induction time of anesthesia and the dosage of anesthetic drugs in the high-dose group were smaller than those in the low-dose group and smaller than those in the control group(P<0.05),and there was no difference in the recovery time of anesthesia among the three groups(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the mean arterial pressure, heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation among the three groups at various time points during surgery(P>0.05).The visual analogue scale scores of patients in the high-dose group at 1 hour,3 hours,6 hours,9 hours, and 12 hours after surgery were lower than those in the low-dose group and lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion High dose(0.5mg/kg)ketamine has a good application in the induction of general anesthesia for cesarean section. It can shorten the induction time, reduce the dosage of anesthetic drugs, reduce postoperative pain, and do not affect the hemodynamics and neonatal health of patients during surgery, without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions in patients.
