Application Effect of Motivational Interview Model based on Cross Theoretical Model in Elderly Patients with Renal Failure Undergoing Hemodialysis

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of motivational interview model based on cross theoretical model in elderly patients with renal failure undergoing hemodialysis.Methods Sixty elderly patients with renal failure admitted to the First Hospital of Putian City from June 2023 to June 2024 were collected and randomly divided into a control group and a study group,with 30 patients in each group.The conventional group received routine nursing interventions,while the research group used a motivational interview model based on a cross theoretical model to compare the capacity load,kidney function,degree of frailty,and self acceptance levels between the two groups after 2 months of intervention.Results After intervention,the systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,extracellular fluid volume,ultrafiltration volume,and urine volume in the study group were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The creatinine,urea nitrogen,uric acid,and cystatin C levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group,while the endogenous creatinine clearance rate was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The degree of weakness in the research group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of each part and the and total of the self acceptance questionnaire in the research group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The motivational interview model based on cross theoretical models can further improve the capacity load,renal function,degree of weakness,and self acceptance level of elderly patients with renal failure undergoing hemodialysis.
