Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of pulsed dye laser combined with thiamol maleate wet compress in the treatment of infantile superficial hemangioma. Methods From January 2022 to Decmber 2023,96 infants with superficial hemangioma admitted to Zaozhuang Maternal and Child Health Hospital were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with external timolol maleate, and the observation group was treated with pulsed dye laser additionally. The clinical efficacy, lesion score, serum factor and incidence of complications between two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.83%,which was higher than the 81.25%of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of lesion area, thickness, and color in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The matrix metalloproteinase-9,vascular endothelial growth factor, and alkaline fibroblast growth factor in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group and the control group were 8.33%and 6.25%,respectively,with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion After pulsed dye laser treatment, wet application of timolol maleate has a significant effect on treating infantile superficial hemangioma, which can further promote lesion recovery, improve inflammatory response, and does not significantly increase adverse reactions.
