Abstract:Objective To compare the efficacy of MAP and physiological saline washing of red blood cells in the treatment of DAT positive autoimmune hemolytic anemia(AIHA).Methods A total of 74 AIHA patients who received red blood cell wash infusion therapy at Fuxin Mining General Hospital of Liaoning Health Industry Group from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected.Among them,31 patients who received red blood cell wash infusion with physiological saline were included in the control group, and the remaining 43 patients who received red blood cell wash infusion with MAP were included in the observation group. The quality of blood products, peripheral blood test results, and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in hemoglobin content, supernatant protein content, and hemolysis rate between the two groups of washed red blood cells(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the hemoglobin content, supernatant protein content, and hemolysis rate of washed red blood cells in the observation group at different time points(P>0.05).After treatment, the hemoglobin, red blood cell count, and hematocrit of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, while the total bilirubin was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 6.45%,while the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 6.98%(P>0.05).Conclusion Both MAP and physiological saline washing of red blood cells meet national quality requirements, and MAP washing of red blood cells has a longer storage time;from a therapeutic perspective, washing red blood cells with MAP can rapidly further increase peripheral blood red blood cell and hemoglobin levels in AIHA patients, and improve hemolysis symptoms;moreover, washing red blood cells with MAP did not increase the incidence of adverse reactions.
