Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect and Adverse Reactions of Terbutaline Combined with Budesonide in the Treatment of Pediatric Wheezing Pneumonia

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of terbutaline combined with budesonide on clinical recovery,lung function,and inflammatory markers in children with wheezing pneumonia.Methods Ninety-six children with wheezing pneumonia admitted to Kuiyong People's Hospital in Dapeng New District of Shenzhen from December 2022 to December 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 48 cases in each group.Both groups of children were treated with pulmonary cough mixture as the basic medication,while the control group inhaled budesonide on the basis of basic treatment,and the observation group further combined with terbutaline.The clinical indicators,lung function,inflammatory response indicators,and adverse reactions between two groups of children were compared.Results After treatment,the disappearance time of clinical symptoms,signs,and hospitalization time in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of forced expiratory volume in the first second,peak expiratory flow,and forced vital capacity in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-6,and procalcitonin in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of terbutaline and budesonide can effectively promote the clinical recovery of children with wheezing pneumonia,improve their lung function,reduce the body's inflammatory response,and has high safety.
