Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of extended nursing service for discharged patients with Type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Methods Three hundred of T2DM patients discharged from Gaotang County People's Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 150 patients in each group. The control group received routine care, while the study group received extended care services. The improvement of compliance behavior, blood glucose levels, and self-care ability between two groups of patients were compared. Results The medical compliance behavior of the research group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The blood glucose, fasting insulin, and insulin resistance index of the research group were all lower than those of the control group, while the fasting C-peptide level was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The research group's self-care ability scores in various dimensions were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Extended nursing services can effectively improve the medical compliance behavior of discharged T2DM patients, enhance their blood glucose regulation ability, and improve their self-care ability.
