Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of a family led extended intervention program for elderly stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods A total of 144 elderly stroke patients with hemiplegia treated at Sanming First Hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were included in the study. They were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 72 patients in each group. The control group received routine intervention, while the study group received a family led extended intervention program. The compliance, psychological status, motor function, and gait parameters between two groups of patients were compared. Results The compliance of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After 6 months of intervention, the Hamilton anxiety scale and Hamilton depression scale scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group, while the Fugl-Meyer assessment scores, step speed, step frequency, and stride length of the research group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In elderly stroke patients with hemiplegia, implementing a family led extended intervention program can improve patient compliance, improve psychological status and motor function, and enhance gait changes.
