Abstract:Objective To investigate the reduction of the incidence of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia(VAP)in mechanically ventilated patients after the implementation of a targeted bundle intervention program. Methods A total of 66 mechanically ventilated patients admitted to Wuyishan Municipal Hospital from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and 33 cases in the control group and 33 cases in the observation group according to the sequence of ICU admission time. The control group was given routine nursing interventions, and the observation group implemented targeted bundle nursing interventions on the basis of the control group's interventions. The incidence rate of VAP,clinical general observation indexes, and observation indexes related to nursing effects between the two groups were compared. Results The incidence rate of VAP in the observation group was 3.03%,which was lower than 18.18%of the control group(P>0.05).The mechanical ventilation time,ICU admission time, and hospitalization time of the observation group were significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the lung infection score was significantly lower than that of the control group after the intervention(P<0.05).The degree of improvement of the indicators of blood gas analysis was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Targeted bundle intervention can help mechanically ventilated patients reduce the incidence of VAP,shorten the treatment time and improve blood gas analysis indexes, which is worth promoting.
