Abstract:Objective To explore the improvement effect of participatory dietary nursing on postoperative nutritional status and quality of life in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods Eighty patients who underwent radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer at Gaotang County People's Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received routine care after surgery, while the study group received participatory dietary care after surgery.Compare the improvement of blood related proteins, ions, trace elements, and quality of life between two groups of patients. Results After nursing, the levels of serum albumin in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of transferrin, prealbumin, hemoglobin, and serum ferritin in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The serum iron ions, zinc ions, fluoride ions, selenium ions, manganese ions, and aluminum ions in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The QLQ-C30 score of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing participatory dietary care for patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric cancer can improve postoperative nutritional status and quality of life, and facilitate rapid recovery after surgery.
