Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes and clinical significance of serum immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin M(IgM),and inflammatory factor levels in children with mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. Methods One hundred and two children with mycoplasma pneumoniae infection admitted to Fuding Hospital affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study group.Another 102 children who underwent healthy physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group.According to the clinical pulmonary infection score, the study group of children were divided into mild and severe groups, and their serum IgA,IgG,IgM,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-10(IL-10),and interleukin-13(IL-13)were compared. Results The levels of IgA,IgG,and IL-10 in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of IgM,TNF-α,IL-8,and IL-13 were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of IgA,IgG,and IL-10 in the severe group were lower than those in the mild group, while the levels of IgM,TNF-α,IL-8,and IL-13 were higher than those in the mild group(P<0.05).The levels of IgA,IgG,and IL-10 in the acute group were lower than those in the recovery group, while the levels of IgM,TNF-α,IL-8,and IL-13 were higher than those in the recovery group(P<0.05).Conclusion Children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection exhibit varying degrees of inflammatory response, with abnormally low expression of serum IgA and IgG,and abnormally high expression of IgM.Detecting immunoglobulin and inflammatory factor levels has certain application value in assisting clinical diagnosis, disease assessment, and developing treatment plans.
