Effect of Zhenggu Huoluo Oil Combined with Massage in the Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Zhenggu huoluo oil combined with massage in the treatment of cervical spondylosis.Methods A total of 63 patients with cervical spondylosis who received Zhenggu huoluo oil combined with massage treatment at Quanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the combination treatment group,and 27 patients with cervical spondylosis who received massage treatment during the same period were selected as the massage group.Compare the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom scores,pain levels,cervical vertebra dysfunction,and quality of life between two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores,visual analogue scale(VAS)scores,neck disability index(NDI)scores,and short form health survey(SF-36)scores of both groups of patients improved significantly compared to before treatment,and the vertebra significantly above indicators scores of the combination treatment group were significantly better than those of the massage group after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Zhenggu huoluo oil combined with massage can further improve the therapeutic effect and the quality of life of patients in the treatment of cervical spondylosis,and is worthy of clinical promotion and use.
