Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of platelet-rich fibrin(PRF)in the treatment of chronic wounds. Methods Sixty patients with chronic wounds admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from May to December 2023 were selected as research subjects, and they were divided into 30 cases in the control group(foam dressing dressing after debridement)and 30 cases in the observation group(PRF treatment after debridement)according to the differences in treatment methods. The two groups were compared in terms of the rate of wounds healing, the time of wounds healing, the control of infection(bacterial turnover rate, white blood cells,C-reactive protein)and pain. Results The wound healing rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at 7 and 15 days after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The wound healing time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The bacterial conversion rate of the observation group after 7 and 15 days of treatment was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The white blood cells and C-reactive protein levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 7 and 15 days after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 7 and 15 days after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PRF applied to the treatment of chronic wounds can significantly shorten the wound healing time, reduce the level of inflammatory response, improve the conversion rate and reduce the patient's pain at the same time, which is worthy of clinical reference and popularization.
